It is often said that "To fuss over the details which are not visible."

In the translation industry, there are some items that may seem unimpressive and are often overlooked, but they are definitely worth paying invisible attention.

 Those are "Chairs" and "Desks."

 Focus on functionality, not design.

肩こりや腰痛

Translators work at desks all day long. We often have to fight against shoulder and back pain, which can be considered an occupational hazard. Therefore, working at a desk and chair that suits your body type will make your body feel much more comfortable.

I recommend an expensive office chair specifically designed for desk work. The special mesh material fits your body perfectly, providing just the right amount of elasticity, so your legs and back won't hurt even if you sit all day.

When sitting down, make sure your desk is at a height that allows you to see your PC display at a natural eye level.

These chairs and desks are quite expensive, but it will be much more cost-effective in the future if you go ahead and buy them.

Chairs and desks can be used for more than ten years. Although the initial investment is high, it reduces shoulder and back pain and improves work efficiency. As a result, it is cost-effective.

Just as you care about your PC and keyboard, you should also care about your chair and desk.

I also recommend a monitor lights that illuminates your PC display from above.

Staring at a display all day can make your eyes tired. A dark screen naturally makes you strain your eyes, which can lead to stiff shoulders.

In the translation industry, it is often said that "Dictionaries are skills that can be purchased with money." This means that although high-quality dictionaries and paid online dictionaries cost money, they are instant translation support tools. In other words, it is the same as buying translation skills with money.

Monitor lights are also expensive, but if you think of "Lights are eyesight that can be purchased with money", it's actually a cheap investment.
