Nomasaki Lighthouse is the oldest lighthouse in Aichi Prefecture.

Installed in 1921, in 2022, it was designated as a "Registered Tangible Cultural Property" by the Agency for Cultural Affairs.
In principle, buildings designated as Registered Tangible Cultural Property are over 50 years old and have historical value, items with original shapes will be eligible.
Lighthouses as cultural heritage sites are categorized into three categories: "Important Cultural Property," "Registered Tangible Cultural Property," "Historic Sites." As of 2023, there are 13 sites Important Cultural Properties, 23 sites Registered Tangible Cultural Property, and 3 sites Historic sites. There are approximately 3,200 lighthouses across Japan, so Nomasaki Lighthouse is a valuable cultural heritage.

The lighthouse overlooking Ise Bay looks just like the image in anime and manga, and has a fantasy-like appearance with the ocean in the background.
There is a unique temple called "Hoshu-ji Temple" nearby, which is a hidden spot.
In Sugamo, Tokyo, there is "Arai Kannon," which is known for the "Togenuki Jizo," and its sister Kannon of the Arai Kannon. It is said that if you rub the same the Kannon statue area with a scrubbing brush as the area you want to heal, you will receive good luck.

When the chief priest of Hoshu-ji Temple was a university student, he had lodging at "Kogan-ji Temple", where there is a Togenuki Jizo belonging to the same Soto sect, it is said that he was specially allowed for make to a same Kannon.
By the way, registered cultural properties are further divided into two categories: "Designation" and "Registration."
Although the designation is subject to strict regulations such as the obligation to maintain the appearance and maintain the status quo, there is a certain amount of public financial support, registration has looser regulations, but financial support is also smaller.
