Wind Farm is located in here, which is where Janan's largest collective wind power plant.
Towering over this plateau is Mt. Kasatori which has an altitude of 842 meters.
As the saying goes "The wind blows so hard you can take off your hat.", Aoyama Plateau is a wind passageway that runs from Lake Biwa in Shiga Prefecture to Ise Bay.

The average wind speed will be 7.6 m/s.
Aoyama Plateau is a suitable place for wind power generation because wind speeds of about 10 m/s make it difficult to walk.
The 44 huge windmills lined up across the hill, they are wind power plants managed by "Aoyama Plateau Wind Farm".
The company is a so-called "Third Sector". The company established through joint investment between Chubu Electric Power's group companies and the local governments of Tsu City and Iga City in Mie Prefecture.
It is a "Semi-Public & Semi-Private" company, which is the sum of The First Sector of national and local governments and The Second Sector of private companies and divided by two.
The number of non-profit Fourth Sector companies represented by NPO corporations, that has been increasing in recent years.
It will start up in 2017 and will generate 95MW of electricity.
A group of windmills nestled in the rich nature of the plateau creates a fantastical world with the hazy scenery in the distance as a background.

Wind power generation is a great source of eco-friendly electricity, but The Friction Loss that occurs when wind power turns a fun makes it inefficient at Generating Electricity more increasing Electricity Bills.
The spread of wind power in Japan has been slow due to disadvantages such as wind power, a source of energy for The Wind is left to nature and the power is not stable, and more construction requires a vast site which limits the installation space.
Wind power generation construction began in the 1880s in Europe and the United States, but in Japan, where there is little flat land when construction began in earnest in the 1980s.

This is because the experience of The Oil Shock created a need for an alternative source of electricity to traditional fossil fuels.
Nowadays, wind power generation is once again attracting attention due to consideration for The Global Environment.
Looking at wind farms around the world, the "Alte Wind Energy Center" in California, USA has a Power Generation Capacity of 1,550MW.
Wind power generation development is currently progressing in China and India.
